Morralee Tarn is a little way off the beaten track. It’s very close to the River Allen and part of the Allen Banks and Staward Gorge National Trust property in west Northumberland. It’s often wonderfully quiet. It’s always beautiful.

Crawl was captured in October 2020, just as the leaves were starting to turn. The scene had a painterly feel about it on the day, which was leant into during post-processing. It hangs as a 42” x 28” framed giclee print in The Wynd in Hexham, arresting and a calming at the same time.
