Crimp

from £24.00

Crimp was captured in 2019

Sycamore Gap wasn’t much referred to or known about as a point of interest pre Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. The wall’s appearance in the film was very special to the people from the local area. As the film was shot, there were rumours of Kevin Costner visiting a butchers in a nearby village for a pound of bacon. You can imagine the tension.

Since the film, the gap became very popular, and in a nice British way like the Bake Off or the act of queing, in that it wasn’t exciting or something to base any major decisions around, but it was nice, harmless, and a point of reference that people from all over the world could point to.
