Fall is a long exposure image of a tributary to the River Allen, captured in the autumn of 2020.

Allenbanks is a National Trust riverside woodland park between Haydon Bridge and Haltwhistle. There are a network of trails and paths, some more established than others, criss-crossing the steep banks either side of the river. It’s a huge space to explore and would take many visits to do so properly. At one end of the park, just before the banks rise even more dramatically to become Staward Gorge, there is a stream and a path that are easily missed, and that disappear into ancient woodland towards a corner of Allenbanks that is rarely visited. Fall was captured here in October 2020.
