The ‘Y’ shaped tree in Turn always stood slightly proud against the rest of the woodland in this patch just outside of Hexham. Regardless of the conditions, it was large enough to catch the eye, but delicate enough not overwhelm the scene. It has featured in many images captured over many visits over many years. Until 2023, when it was perhaps a little too delicate and Storm Arwen felled it. A timely reminder that one should never grow too attached to anything or anyone.
