Bridge
Bridge was taken at Tyne Green Country Park on the outskirts of Hexham, Northumberland.

Hexham Bridge was built in 1793. If you walk west along the Tyne from the bridge, after roughly 1.5km the piles and feet of another bridge can be seen, a little worse for wear but clinging on. Hexham Old Bridge was originally built 50 metres from where these feet stand today. It was swept away in floods in 1771, and work was begun on a new bridge close by. After the piles were sunk, and before any arches were built, it was discovered that the sandy earth beneath the piles would not be suitable, and so the current Hexham Bridge was constructed instead.
After a day or two of snow, the town was wrapped in a thick mist for an afternoon, and down by the river there was a stillness and muted quality that verged on haunting at times.

All prints ordered through The Wynd Photographic are fine art prints. That is to say, they are produced using the giclee process in combination with a smooth, archival, 300gsm cotton based paper by Fotospeed.

Once a print has been ordered, it is either produced by Pete in his own workshop or, if scale dictates, via an independent local print house he collaborates with regularly. Pete oversees all printing before performing quality checks, adding his signature, and packaging the finished work at the Wynd Gallery.

Unfortunately we are unable to guarantee a set turnaround time for an online order. Each client and order is slightly different and may require a particular approach to production. Wherever possible, we aim to complete and dispatch orders within 7 days of them being received.
